1. How far is the Colonial Village from the Brisbane Airport?

Colonial Village accommodation is close to Brisbane Airport and a distance of 14 kilometres via roadways.

 

2. How can I travel from the Brisbane Airport to the Colonial Village?

There are various options; car, shuttle service, taxi service or the City Train.

Car – in normal traffic this option will take approximately 20 minutes travel time however this can be longer when the traffic is heavier.

Car Hire - there are numerous car hire options at the airport or in the suburbs close by.

Shuttle Service – the Colonial Village uses and recommends the services of Universal Transfers. A fee of $50 is charged for one to seven (1 to 7) persons from the Colonial Village to the airport or the airport to Colonial Village. Taxi – there are taxi services at the airport and just a phone call away from the Colonial Village.

Uber - readily available at both the airport precinct and Colonial Village.

City Train – there are stations both at the Domestic and International Airports. The Airport Train travels to Eagle Junction where you need to disembark and then travel on the Caboolture train and disembark at Carseldine Station. Carseldine Station is 1km from the Colonial Village.

 

3. Where is the Colonial Village situated?

The Colonial Village street address is 351 Beams Road Taigum in the state of Queensland. Our postcode is 4018. If your GPS system does not recognise the suburb of Taigum, please use our adjacent suburb, Zillmere.

The Colonial Village is located in the northern suburbs of Brisbane and 13 km’s from the Brisbane City centre. Beams Road is a main road located between Sandgate Road (#26) and Gympie Road (# A3). Just 3 km’s east of the Colonial Village via Beams Road, is the M1 Gateway Motorway. The Colonial Village is located at the intersection of Beams and Handford Roads.

Local amenities such as Taigum Square Shopping Centre is 500m from the Colonial Village. Westfield Chermside Shopping Centre is 3 km’s to the south of the property.

Colonial Village accommodation is close to Boondall, Zillmere, Carseldine, Fitzgibbon, Bracken Ridge, Aspley, Geebung, Virginia, Deagon, Bald Hills, Nudgee, Chermside, Banyo, Sandgate, Shorncliffe, Strathpine, Eaton's Hill and Albany Creek suburbs.

 

4. When can I check-in at the Colonial Village?

Check-in is between the hours of 2pm and 7pm (please note that these hours may vary on a Public Holiday). If you are arriving late i.e. after 7pm, please contact the Colonial Village to organise a Late Arrival. Eary check-ins cannot be guaranteed. 

 

5. What time do I have to check-out of my accommodation?

Check-out is by 10.00am. Late checkouts are subject to availablity and cannot be gauranteed.

Guests are welcome to store their luggage for collection before 7.00pm.

 

6. Is there Wi-Fi at the Colonial Village?

Yes, the Wi-Fi at the Colonial Village is provided free of charge. Guests are required to obtain a code from Reception to access the Guest WiFi.

 

7. Can I have an early check-in or late check-out?

Early check-ins and late check-outs cannot be guaranteed due to availability on the day in question. If you wish to confirm an early check-in or late check-out, you can do so by way of booking a further night to accommodate your needs.

 

8. How far is the Colonial Village from the Brisbane Entertainment Centre?

The Colonial Village accommodaion is close to the Brisbane Entertainment Centre (just over 3km's). If you are attending a concert at the BEC, please contact the Colonial Village to organise a seat on the Concert Transfer Shuttle. (A minimum of 4 persons are required for the Concert Transfer Shuttle to operate)

 

9. I am going to an event at Suncorp Stadium, how do I get there?

Guests attending sporting events or concerts at Suncorp Stadium (Lang Park) can travel on public transport for free if they are the holder of a valid event ticket. Guests can travel to the Chermside Bus Interchange or Carseldine Railway Station and travel directly to the event and return after via public transport.

 

10. I am going to an event at the Eaton's Hill Hotel, how do I get there?

The Colonial Village is just over 10km's from the Eaton's Hill Hotel. The venue can be easily accessed by car, Uber or a taxi.

 

10. What public transport options are available?

The Colonial Village is serviced by the Brisbane City Council’s City Bus Service. The City Bus service #330 to Chermside, Royal Brisbane Hospital, Brisbane City and Southbank is located at the corner intersection (St Flannan's, Handford Road) of our property and runs approximately every 15 minutes on most days. Other bus services to Taigum, Toombul and Strathpine areas can also be accessed from bus stops adjacent to the Colonial Village in Beams Road.

There are two train stations located 1km from the property; Zillmere Station and Carseldine Station. Both of these stations are situated on the Caboolture Line which has a direct route to Brisbane City.

The Roma Street Transit Centre can be accessed via the Caboolture Line.

11. What type of parking is available at the Colonial Village?

All parking at the Colonial Village is free-of-charge and is off the street.

Motel Room accommodation has the use of a communal carpark area located in the vicinity of the motel rooms. There are ample spaces with no allocated parking.

All cabin accommodation has an allocated carpark adjacent to the cabin with some car park areas being covered.

Please check at the time of booking if you require extra space for more than one vehicle or you are travelling with a boat or trailer. Extra parking spaces are not always available.

If you require parking for a large vehicle, bus or truck, please phone ahead on 07 3865 0000 to organise your parking arrangements.

 

12. What dining options are available?

Espresso 351 Cafe is licensed and located at the front entrance of the Colonial Village serving breakfast and lunch daily with dinner served on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and some events nights (please check with Reception). Espresso 351 also caters for High Teas, Birthdays and special events. Just ask the friendly staff at the cafe what they can for you for your next special day! Trading hours may vary on a Public Holiday.

Packed lunches and dinners are also available by prior arrangement.

Vending machines are also loacted in the Guest Lounge adjacent to Reception serving snacks and drinks.
